Prepping for vehicle has some challenges when compared to vehicle straight from the car dealership but nothing that is considered the norm. The paint was starting to fade and when rubbed by your hands it would leave a white powder, so one crucial step is to make sure the vehicle is clean and free of oil and debris before installing the vinyl wrap. If this is skipped, then you run the risk of the debris showing through the vinyl. Often when customizing an older vehicle, you run the risk of break dry-rotted clips, broken clips, etc. and on this install, the door handles were not going to be coming off; meaning the the vinyl wrap installer will have to work around the door handle without removing it and do their best to create a "clean look".
